Valentines Day!

Thursday Brooke and Dani celebrated Valentines at their preschool.  They got so many fun treats!
Seeing all the Valentines they have.  I love how excited they get about it.  My favorite was the twinkie dressed up like a minion and it said… You’re one in a “minion.” So creative!
Cute Valentine my Booke and Dani made for me.  Love them!
Emilee and Megan with their valentine boxes
This is so cute!  The top of Megan’s box says Hungry for Love!  She saw a picture of her cousin, Keagan’s Valentine box that is very similar and she wanted to copy her.  🙂
Surprise Valentines gifts I made my older two girls.
This gift is an American Girl scrapbook for each of them.  I spent so much time filling the pages with love and memories.  It’s all about them and their special dolls.  It was a project, but so worth it especially when they got so excited about them and were both so grateful.
They opened them right up and read the whole thing.
A couple pages from Emilee’s book.
A couple pages from Megan’s book.
I found this in Megan’s room.  She set her photo book up so Julie and Maddi could see their pics together.  Haha!  Oh! and don’t forget the dog, Coconut, and him looking at it too.  I love it!
Valentines Night!
Valentines dinner with a couple of my really close friends.
I love these girls to pieces.  They mean so much to me.  I am so glad we are so close!

California Vacation over Christmas Break

We went to California after Christmas for the weekend.  It was great to be with all of Matt’s side of the family.  We stayed in a really fun hotel.  The girls enjoyed swimming, playing games, and staying up late.  😉  The highlight of our trip was taking our girls to the American Girl store.  It’s like a doll Disneyland in there.  So cute and so fun!  Going to the beach is always a must and a highlight too.  I love it there!  We had a great time and it went way too fast, as all vacations do.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Christmas time is always very enjoyable and happy.  It truly is the most wonderful time of the year especially when living in Arizona where it is warm all winter long.  🙂  Love it!  We had a great Christmas, probably even our best one yet!  If that’s even possible.  I guess they just keep getting better.  The best part of it all is just being with family and enjoying each others company.

Christmas Hat Party!

This year we went to such a fun party where we all came with decorated Santa hats.  It was so much fun to see what everyone had come up with.  Such cute and creative ideas.  I loved that my girls did their own decorating.  They had just as much fun creating their hats as they did at the party wearing them.  😉
Thanks to Matt’s dad and Cathy for such a great time, wonderful company, and delicious food.
Family hats… wish I would’ve used our camera instead of my phone.  The pics with my phone all turned out blurry.

Friends Christmas Party

One of the best things about living back in AZ is that we get to go to this fun party!  We always look forward to going.  It’s such a great time.  I wouldn’t miss it for the world unless of course, we are out of State.  😉

The whole group.  We missed those of you who couldn’t make it.
Our sillyness revealed! 😉

Temple lights

We love to go to see the Temple lights during December.  It’s so amazing how many lights are decorating the Temple grounds.  It’s such a great way to get into the Spirit of Christmas.  There are always so many people there and different choirs that sing Christmas songs.  It’s fun to go with friends too.  We went with The Jones this year.  So pretty!
Listening to the music from the choir.

Christmas Caroling

We had some friends over Sunday night to eat yummy desserts and drink hot cocoa.  They had to sing a Christmas carol before entering our home.  We’ve done this before and had such a great time that we wanted to do it again.  It’s always so fun to see what they come up with on the spot.
Friends make the Holidays so FUN!!!
The first to arrive were The Britts singing Jingle Bells.
Cory and his girls were next.
Tait Family
Crosland Family
The Jones family

Erika and Chad.  They came over later on, so I took a picture of them.
Oh and they sang Silent night at the door, but it didn’t get recorded.  Dang it!  You guys will have to do a redo.  Ha ha!  🙂

Festival of Trees

I took one last girls trip this year up to Utah to see my sisters and go to the Festival of Trees.  This is one of my favorite things to go to.  Every year companies and individuals make all kinds of themed Christmas trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses, quilts, etc. to donate to the festival.  The festival then displays all of the trees and has a bidding on them the first Tuesday of December.  This is the most fun day to go!  The money donated all goes to Primary Children’s Hospital.  On the first weekend of the month you can go and see all of the trees and items that were made that year.  My sister made a “Bee-True” tree with her beehive class.  It was so cute and fun to see.  There are always so many unique and creative trees that stand out.  It’s overwhelming.  There are so many rows and rows of trees it is impossible to see or remember them all.  Perhaps, the best part of the night is that so many of the trees get donated and made in memory of someone.  The stories and pictures of these people are attached so as you walk by you can read all about that person and their spirit.  In many cases, the trees are made showing that persons favorite hobby or talent or dreams they had.  There is such a sweet spirit there and you can’t help but feel the true meaning of Christmas and the spirit of giving!

 My sister’s “Bee-True” tree

A tree full of more beanie babies than I’ve ever seen.
 I loved the ice skates.
At least two trees were made from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie.  Loved it!

This tree has a train track that goes through the middle of it.  So Cool!

Mickey Mouse’s tree and friends.  The playhouse goes with in.  Notice the roof and how it’s made of Mickey ears.
This is a whole bedroom set.  Everything with or under the trees are always sold with the trees unless otherwise indicated.
This is our family tree.  Our family plays more cards than anyone!
 More Disney trees
I loved this wreath and decorations.
Brooke and Dani would love me to bring this tree and items home to them.  🙂

Grinch tree, tilted and everything.  Ha ha!
There’s even baseball trees that reminded me of Matt!
Golf too!    If you can think if or dream it… it’s probably there!
The largest gingerbread house I’ve ever seen.  It was so cool  They had it on s spinning turntable so it would turn and you could stay in the same spot and see it from all of the different angles.
The quilt section reminded me of my MIL, Elizabeth.  She would love this part!
Downtown Salt Lake at City Creek.

Tree in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building

It was so cold and snowed a lot while I was there.
I love visiting Utah.  It is so pretty, but I love the heat and I love that I live in Arizona.  🙂
Salt Lake skyline.  I love the mountains!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my side of the family in St. George.  It was so great.  It could not have gone better.  Our girls love being with all their girl cousins.  And I love being with my sweet family.  We got to do lots of fun things and truly enjoy one another’s company.  Pics from our trip are HERE.
