In November I went on another girls trip to Portland, Oregon. This one was with my friends from Minnesota, but none of us live there anymore so we met up in Portland where Emily lives. These ladies are so much fun to be with. Honestly, I love them to pieces. The best part about friendships is how we can go months and sometimes years without keeping in that great of touch and then we get together and it seems like no time has passed at all. What a great time! I treasure these friendships sooooooooo MUCH!!!
Emile’s Backyard. She lives in the woods. 🙂 So Beautiful!
Views from the hike
We met Stacey for lunch. We know her from MN as well, but she also moved to Portland. It was so great to catch up with everything going on in her life. I loved it!
Salt and Straw, I got the sea salt caramel ice cream. It was the best ice cream I have ever had. So Yummy!
Chocolate shots! Amazing!! Almost TOO much!!! ha ha
I flew out on a clear day where there was a great view of Mt. Hood.
We took our family pics while we were in California at the beach. We found a great place south of Newport called Corona del Mar. Such a great place for photos. I wish we could take our pics at the beach every year. I loved the way they turned out. Each year it definitely gets easier to get that perfect shot. My girls are so used to looking at the camera and smiling. We’ve always taken our own pics as we just set the camera on timer. It’s worked out well. Below are my favs.
I loved getting a pic of me with all four of my girls.
It was hard to get Dani to smile in the shots of just our girls. She had an experience where the water came up and swept her from behind when we were at the beach over the summer and she is still tormented by it. She did not like having her back toward the water. 🙂
In this picture she got distracted playing with the sand in her hands that she was able to at least stop crying.
I love silhouette pics. I think they are so cool. The sunset was beautiful that night!
Matt and I. I could stare at this pic all day. I love our background so much!
We always take individual shots of each of our girls. They all did a great job posing themselves.
This picture reminds me of Brooke’s favorite princess Ariel, The Little Mermaid, on the rock. Maybe that’s why she posed that way. Funny girl!
Here we are pointing at the water. I am trying to tell Dani that the water is fun and that it won’t get her this time. I don’t think she was convinced. 🙂
My sweet baby girl is going to preschool now. This is the first time where I haven’t been fully ready for it. I’ve been a little hesitant because she is my baby and still seems so little. She is so excited though and has loved going everyday. I think to her she feels like such a big girl. Dani is very independent and likes to be in charge, but she is also very sweet and loving and likes me to hold and be with her. I am glad she is able to go to school and learn new things. Brooke wishes they were in the same class. They do have the same teacher, but Dani goes to school in the morning and Brooke goes in the afternoon class. The morning class has a lot more three year olds in it so I think it will be better for Danielle. The teacher also talked about how older children can shadow younger siblings so I think it’s good that Dani has her own experience. She had a great first day. There were no tears shed, just lots of chatter and smiles. 🙂
First day of Preschool
Little poser girl!
Her backpack is as big as she is. Ha ha! They are required to start school with the full sized backpacks.
Bye, Bye Dani see you in a few hours.
I always wonder what she is thinking about this new experience.
One last look!
Halloween is always so much fun. We look forward to it each year and it’s so fun to have little ones to celebrate with. They love dressing up and so do I. We love carving pumpkins and being involved in all the festivities of the season. I am so glad we were in Arizona where the weather is perfect this time of year! Our neighborhood was also fabulous. There were lots of trick-or-treaters and fun homes all decked out in the spirit of Halloween. I videoed a few of the homes. One was a pirate theme and another was a haunted house leading up to the front door. Really creative! Pics from our Halloween week are HERE.
Our baby is THREE! Wow! Dani had a great birthday. She was so cute all day and you could just tell she knew it was a special day for her. She loved the cupcakes, the presents, and all the attention. We loved celebrating her. She is such a love bug! Happy Day Dani Girl!!!
Mommy’s Special Girl!
Dani thought it was just the greatest opening presents.
All her sisters loved to help too.
Happy Birthday Dani!
It’s Play Time!
I really wanted to host a Halloween Party this year. It was hard to find a time that worked, there really was only one day this whole month that would work so we did it. We had a great time celebrating with our friends. My sister Kari was even here that weekend. I’m glad everyone dressed up. That makes a Halloween party that much more fun!
We are Hippies. Peace Out!
Loved having my sister here.

Emilee cracks me up!
After we got home from California. My sister Kari and her youngest two daughters, Madi and Sara came to visit us for the weekend of our fall break. We loved it! I love having company, especially my family. I wish I lived by my family so bad. I love being with my sisters and their cute girls more than anything. Thanks for coming to visit. Love you girlies!!!
What’s the first thing we do? Swim, of course! 🙂
Sara and Dani have the same exact swimsuits!
Girls involved in a cooking contest. Below are the winners and what prizes they got. They did great and it was fun for Kari and I to be the judge taste testers. 🙂
Greatest Candy Store Ever!!!
More Swimming! It is October and it was cold. They didn’t seem to care.
Brooke is in her own little world. That happens in this 3-4 year old stage. I love watching her.
She is getting a kick out of herself. Love it!
Brooke doing a twist turn into the pool.
Chillin’ by the pool their last night here.
We took our girls to Disneyland over fall break. This is the first area we’ve lived in where we had a whole week off school during the fall. We loved being able to go on a vacation during this time. We spent time with Matt’s family and went to the beach. After all what would going to California be like without going to the beach? I don’t know, we’ll never find out! 🙂 Disneyland was Amazing! Our girls are at such great ages to enjoy everything Disneyland has to offer. It was such a magical experience for them and very memorable for our family. I can’t wait to go again! We went to California Adventure on Monday. The highlights were Toy Story, Little Mermaid, and The Cars ride. Matt’s favorite ride is Soarin’ Over California and I have always loved Tower of Terror. Oh! and The World of Color at night was Spectacular! We went to Disneyland on Tuesday. We love going on Indiana Jones. It’s quite the adventure! Other favorites are Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Matt loves anything in Tommorowland. There are so many great rides. I love how everything is themed and so entertaining! We got to see quite a few characters and many of the princesses. Oh, and we were there for Mickeys Halloween Party at night! Most people are dressed up in costume. Our girls dressed up and they trick or treated throughout the park. There were also many performances going on throughout the night. Only so many tickets were sold so it wasn’t too crowded. The night was filled with lots of Halloween adventures and fun. This was such a great party that I want to be a part of every year. The feelings at Disneyland are like no other. It truly is The Happiest Place On Earth!!! I love all the videos and pics we got. Click HERE to see many of them.
Over Labor Day Weekend we went on a little getaway to a resort here in Phoenix. My girls love staying at hotels. They think it is the most fun. I love how excited they get about it. This time we went to The Hilton at Squaw Peak. It was short and sweet! Makes me want to do these mini vacations a little more often. It was so nice and relaxing. Pics of our time there are HERE.
