Emilee’s 10th Bday

Emilee is in the double-digits now.  WoW!  She turned 10 yrs old this month and had a fun swim party with her friends.  I can’t believe my oldest is TEN!  It’s so exciting.  Only a couple more years and she can babysit for me.  Yay!  Happy Birthday Emilee.  I’m so glad you had such a great Bday.  Pics are HERE.

Back to School

The girls started school the second week of August.  They love their school and all their friends.  I am so glad they love it here so much.  Their school is just around the corner from our house so they ride their bikes.

Ward Campout

We went camping with our Ward and it was such a good time.  My kind of camping for sure.  It was only one night and everything was provided for us.  We just had to set up our tents, but even when we got there the youth came and helped set them up.  Awesome kids!  We love our ward, we love The White Mnts!

Summer Utah Trip

Every Summer we go to Utah to visit family.  It’s so great to get out of the AZ summer heat for a few weeks.  My girls love spending time with their cousins and we just love being with family.  This is a trip we look forward to most each year as a family!  I loved putting these pictures together.  I felt like I was reliving all of the memories.  I can’t believe how many things we did in three weeks.  Too many pics were taken to put on the blog so they are all posted on our website.  Click HERE to see them.

Summer Swim Team

Emilee and Megan were on Swim Team this summer with EVO.  They loved going to practices each morning and swimming the relays over the weekends.  They got to be really good swimmers!  It was so fun to watch them swim and perfect their strokes.  Great job girls… You were Awesome!

Summer Ice Skating

Emilee and Megan took Ice Skating lessons over the summer.  They really got the hang of it.  They learned how to skate on one foot, slide, and skate backwards.  They loved being in the cold arena during the summer heat.  It was fun to watch them learn.  I videoed more than I took pics, but I took pics during their free skating time.

4th of July Weekend in California

Last weekend we went to California to Celebrate The 4th and spend time with Matt’s family.  We had such a great trip and did so many fun things in such a short time.  We spent The 4th at a pool barbecue with friends and family.  We went to Newport and Huntington Beach.  Beach Day was my favorite.  I have so many memories from the beach.  I absolutely love it there.  My girls had a blast on the beach and were very adventurous.  Dani was funny though, she was intimidated by the waves crashing on the shore.  She had a lot of fun playing in the sand, but didn’t really like being in the water.  There is so much to do at the beach.  We loved hanging out and playing, walking along the shore, swimming in the ocean, and shopping.  We can’t wait to go back.  Someday when our younger girls are older we want to do a beach house right on the beach.  Those kinds of vacations growing up were some of my most memorable ones.  So many pics were taken.

A Visit to San Fran

Last weekend I went to San Francisco.  My brother, Dan lives there and my niece, Kayli and her husband, Chris are there for the summer.  It was so fun to see all of them at the same time.  When my sister, Kari (Kayli’s mom) found out that I was going she wanted to come too.  How Fun!  We had a really good time.  It’s one of my favorite cities.  I loved when I lived there in my single days and it also reminds me of Matt.  We have a lot of memories from there.  My visit there was short and sweet, but it was really good to get out of the AZ Heat and really hard to come back to it.  Thank goodness we have a pool.  It seriously makes these summers do able.

It all started with lunch on the Pier.

My sister, Kari and I.  Love being with her!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Every year we go with our friends to a cabin in The White Mountains.  We’ve gone to a different cabin each time.  It is such a blast to get out of the heat and enjoy nature in a comfortable cabin.  We all love spending time together eating, talking, and playing games.  We are such great friends and our kids all play so well too.  It’s one of our favorite trips we look forward to each year.  We took lots of pics, click HERE to see them.

Megan gets Baptized

Happy Baptism Day to Megan.  She got baptized last Saturday surrounded by friends and family.  It was a special day for her and our family.  We are so proud of Megan.  She is so spiritual and sensitive to the spirit.  She is such a sweetheart and we love having her in our home.  The day was filled with a service where the baptism and confirmation was performed and then a barbeque/pool party back at our home afterwards.
Pics from her day are HERE.
